Water Fees for Food Trucks?

The issue of water rates was raised once again at the most recent meeting of the Rawlins City Council. At the April 7 meeting of the governing body, Councilmember Derek Elliott brought concerns from a local business owner regarding food trucks.

According to Elliott, the business owner—who he didn’t name—had asked why food trucks weren’t paying for water or sewer.

Ward One Councilmember Derek Elliott raised the issue of high rent for empty business properties during the March 17 meeting of the Rawlins City Council. He also asked about vocational programs to help potential new businesses recruit and retain employees.
