The 307 Pub and Grub owners Adrianne Wagnon, Sally Wells and Jennifer Cuningham opened the doors of the Pub and Grub on November 4th, but only the Pub was serving.
Recruiting qualified medical personnel has long been a challenge to rural communities. To meet the healthcare needs of the Saratoga community through the North Platte Valley Medical Center (NPVMC), the Platte Valley Healthcare Project has contracted with Aligned Providers Wyoming to staff and manage NPVMC’s emergency and inpatient departments.
Every year, Bridge Street Bargains opens it doors exclusively for children. They provide students from Saratoga Elementary School with a ticket that says one dollar but it is good for any one item in the store. The volunteers help the kids find the perfect gift for their parents, grandparents or that pesky older teenage brother who is hard to buy for.
Darlene Scheneman has been baking and making sweet treats since she was a little girl growing up in Utah in what she said was a little tiny town. "It is called Roosevelt, right below Flaming Gorge," Scheneman said. "It is a pretty rural area and the population is not much bigger than Hanna."
Scheneman is no stranger to baking and confections.
When Steve Deorio opened the doors of the Grumpy Italian five years ago his goal was to have a place where families could sit down and step back into a bygone era where people shared stories and tales while eating classic Italian-American fare. Deorio grew up in North Denver where there were a lot of Italian families. He wanted to provide family-focused food and dining that he remembers when he was a kid.

Memorial Hospital of Carbon County (MHCC) has added yet another service for Platte Valley residents through its MHCC Health Center–Platte Valley Saratoga location. Patients can now utilize outpatient ultrasound and digital x-ray services without driving to Rawlins.
The North Platte Valley Medical Center (NVPMC) hosted a round-table discussion at the Platte Valley Community Center (PVCC) December 13. The CEO of the Platte Valley Medical Clinic and Saratoga Care Center, Jeff Mincy had predicted an opening in early January 2023 during the press tour in October. Mincy said equipment delays have made it difficult.
