EWCC Honor Roll

Eastern Wyoming College, in Torrington, recently released their list for President’s Honor Roll which recognizes students that are full time, with 12 or more credit hours, who also achieve a 4.0 grade average.

Wyoming Ranks No. 5 on ‘Best States for Higher Education’ List
The low cost of higher education in Wyoming, combined with low student debt and a relatively high community college graduation rate, have placed the state No. 5 on U.S. News & World Report’s new “Best States for Higher Education” list.

It's elementary ... times three

Saratoga resident Mark Shipp has been making his work commute to the north Carbon County towns of Hanna, Elk Mountain and Medicine Bow for seven years.
<i>Is he a traveling salesman of some sort?</i>
No. He is the elementary school principal for all three towns–and after this May his commute to the schools will be over. He is retiring.

PVAC scholarship awarded

Since 1993, the Platte Valley Arts Council has had the goal of enriching the quality of life in the area and expanding educational opportunities for all forms of the arts, whether it is music, literature, dance, visual arts or theater. Its mission is “to foster awareness of and participation in any form of the arts, with the aim of developing vibrant and cohesive communities.”

Western Wyoming Community College’s Division of Mathematics and Science is pleased to announce a new partnership with Encampment High School (EHS).
Encampment High School is a K-12 public education institution and part of the Carbon County School District No.2. The Town of Encampment is home to approximately 440 people.
