On Friday morning, the students at Hanna Elementary School (HES) started their day creating different projects in a manner that had them learn to estimate cost and the value of cooperation.
Much of what goes on during the annual Firearm Training hosted by Silver Spur Outfitters centers around firearms. The group that puts on the class, <i>Guninpho.com</i>, has experience in law enforcement, however, there are some classes that center around personal protection that goes beyond firearms.
Jason Greenway, the new principal for Hanna Elementary, Elk Mountain Elementary and Medicine Bow Elementary, was born and raised in Tucson, Ari. He went to college at Northern Arizona University for his bachelors and graduate degrees. Greenway majored in elementary education and education leadership.
He is the oldest of four siblings.
After graduating, he was employed in the Phoenix school system.
Businesses that purchase poultry, lamb, pork or bison during the Carbon County Fair and Rodeo will be able to donate the processed meat to Carbon County School District No. 2 (CCSD2). This information was provided to the CCSD2 Board of Trustees during their July 17 meeting during public comment.
Freddie Wagner, a Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow High School senior to be, was honored in Medicine Bow at a dinner for her accomplishments in going to American Legion Auxiliary Girls State from June 9-15 in Cheyenne, as the representative from northern Carbon County.
After attendees got their food, Wagner spoke about her trip.
Following a 35-year career in special education, 24 years of which were spent in Carbon County School District No. 2 (CCSD2), Deb Riker has retired as the district’s Special Education Administrator. Riker has had the fortune to be one of those lucky people who has a career doing something they love.
