    The first thing a wrestling fan notices when entering the Wyoming State Wrestling Championships at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper is the sheer magnitude of the event.   • Saratoga Wrestlers Compete in Regionals, Advance to State

    The SMHS Panther wrestling team boarded the bus early Friday for the long trek to Regionals, which was held on Saturday in Tongue River. The focus of the coaching staff all season has been the State tournament, and all eight wrestlers who competed qualified for next week’s tournament.     Saratoga wrestling hosted the Carbon County Invite last weekend with eleven teams competing. Coach Rusty Arnold felt that the team overall wrestled, ‘pretty well.   • Depleted Panther wresting team competes in Lander

    The SMHS wrestling squad traveled to Lander last weekend, missing much of it’s squad, to compete in both a varsity and JV tournament. According to coach Rusty Arnold, ‘Injury has been following us around the last couple weeks. We only traveled with five kids due to injury.’ The team should have more wrestlers return for this weekend’s Ron Thon tournament in Riverton, dependent upon medical clearance.     The Panther grapplers began the wrestling weekend by competing in Walden on Thursday against Soroco and North Park. It was a tune-up for the upcoming weekend tournament, and the Panthers had a good showing. Ace Arnold, Josiah Stockwell, and Douglass Campbell all were 1 – 0.     SMHS wrestling had a busy week as they competed in three events, starting with the Hanna Triangular on Thursday. The team then traveled to Kremmling, CO for the West Grand Duals on Friday.
