    Saturday, April 1st, the Wyoming State Spelling Bee took place in Rock Springs at Western Wyoming Community College. Cooper Smith, a sixth grader from Saratoga won the competition and will represent the State of Wyoming in Washington D.C., two months from now.     The Panthers track teams left the den to compete against several large schools.Saratoga Middle High School (SMHS) track & field boys and girls teams competed in the Runners Roost of Fort Collins on March 24. There were thirty three teams that competed consisting mostly of big schools from Wyoming and Colorado. The girls team scored 7 team points and placed 23rd in the overall team point standings.     The Saratoga Panthers High School Track Teams have already hit the ground running in two track meets. The Lady Panthers are the returning state champions of 1A track and Field this season and they are on the prowl to repeat as state champions.
