American Legion names new officers

Installation meet and greet barbecue planned, Post placing flags on graves and helping with Memorial Day service, hosting lunch

The Angus England Post 54 of the American Legion Saratoga, Wyoming held annual elections Saturday, May 19 at their regular monthly meeting. The results are as follows: Post Commander—Steve Wilcoxson; Vice Commander—Don Ainsworth; Adjutant—Deborah Clark; Fourth Executive Board member James Shepherd and Fifth Executive Board member Mark Pesognelli. Glen Parker was appointed Chaplain. Mark Pesognelli was also appointed Sergeant-at-Arms, Color Guard and Honor Guard Commander.

Their installation will be held June 8 with the Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion.

The installation will be followed with a barbecue meet and greet.

The Legion will place flags on graves at 4 p.m. Friday, May 24. If you wish to help with this, be at the Legion by 3:45 p.m.

The Memorial Day Service will be held at 11 a.m. Memorial Day at the Saratoga Cemetery Chapel. Lunch will follow the service at the Post 54 home. The public is invited to participate and the Legion is looking for a good turnout.
