Ecumenical Thanksgiving service, pot luck held

The First Presbyterian Church will host their Annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19

At the service, nonperishable foods will be collected which are then distributed to the food bank.

Any monies collected during the service’s free will offering will go to the Saratoga Churches Fund.

All are invited to come together to give thanks for their blessings. Among the blessings is the support of the Platte Valley Community gives to the Saratoga Churches Fund (Ministerial Association). The association is a nonprofit organization which distributes financial support to the food bank in addition to helping residents with utility costs, some housing costs as well as traveler’s aid.

In keeping with tradition, there will be a pot luck meal served following the service in the parish hall of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
