Marie C. Allen

Marie C. Allen, 70, of Saratoga passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Sept. 7, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Antigo, Wisconsin, to Ernest and Betty Dahlke on Dec. 10, 1946. Marie married Garrett (Gary) Allen Nov. 15, 1964 in Saratoga, WY.

Along with her passion of Wee Folks Place in Hanna and Night Auditor for Old Baldy Club in Saratoga, she was a proud stay-at-home mom and spouse.

Marie was an avid reader and enjoyed a variety of authors. She enjoyed crafts, writing cute songs and poetry relating to her life and current events, and you could always find her up for a game of cards or a board game. Marie loved her family dearly and was devoted to them. She enjoyed every chance she had to tell anyone about them. Marie never met a stranger and always gave unselfishly.

Marie was a social person and enjoyed talking and visiting with just about everyone she met. She also had an amazing sense of humor and loved telling a story or a good joke.

Marie is survived by her loving husband, Gary Allen of Wyoming; two children, son, Richard W. Allen (Keith) of North Carolina and daughter, Melinda M. Jaure of Wyoming; three grandchildren, Ryan W. Allen of South Carolina, Demetrio A. Jaure (Cenina) of Wyoming and Xavier M. Jaure of Wyoming; two great-grandchildren, Julian M. Jaure of Wyoming and Dominyk A. Jaure of Wyoming; four siblings, brother, Paul Dahlke (Paula) of Wyoming, sister, Debra Dahlke of Wyoming, brother, Bob Dahlke (Jody) of Wyoming and brother, Bill Dahlke (Margaret) of Wyoming; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Betty Dahlke; sister, Patricia Dahlke and In-laws, Garrett and Lovina Allen.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the Saratoga Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Platte Valley Lutheran Church.
