Eugene Bashor

Eugene Bashor, 91, died August 28, 2017 at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Warren, Pennsylvania.

In recent years, Eugene lived with his brother and family in Pennsylvania. For most of his life though, he lived and worked in Wyoming. For several decades Eugene was a well-known and respected member of the community in Encampment.

Mr. Bashor was born in Casper, to Emanuel and Laura Bashor. After grade school in Casper, he earned a BA degree from the University of Colorado. In the early 50’s he served in the U.S.

Army overseas in Japan and was a Korean War Veteran. For many years he was employed as a technician at the Seminoe Dam in Wyoming.

Outside of work Mr. Bashor was an avid outdoorsman of the Medicine Bow Mountains. His pursuits included hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. He enjoyed many hobbies and collections such as guns, rockhounding, and books. He was involved with amateur car racing as a competitor and official.

Mr. Bashor is survived by his brother Ralph Bashor, extended family, and friends.
