Mike Farver was honored at a barbecue on April 8 by South Central Wyoming Emergency Medical Services (SCWEMS) as Employee of the Year.

In addition to his colleagues, he was joined by his wife Tabatha and daughter Lindsie at the celebration.

When talking about Farver, Heidi Sifford, Ambulance Director, said, "Mike's medical knowledge, extraordinary patient care, professionalism and fun sense of humor has been a huge inspiration to me. Running calls with Mike makes me want to be a better provider. EMTs like Mike are not only a benefit to the current generation of prehospital providers, but is pivotal in ushering in the next generation of EMTs."

In addition to SCWEMS, Farver works part time for Carbon County Emergency Services and handles Emergency Medical Response (EMR) classes for the refinery. He is an educator for all prehospital providers in Carbon County and helps with the education of all EMR and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) classes provided by SCWEMS.
