Zella R. Soderberg

Zella Rozene Soderberg, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Pinedale Sunday January 22, 2017 with her family at her side. Zella was born February 22, 1926, in Cozad, Nebraska. Zella and her family moved to Bellvue, Colorado, where she attended grade school. She graduated from Ft. Collins High School in 1945. Zella then married her lifelong sweetheart Harry Soderberg after his release from the service the following year. Together they welcomed five children to the world. Zella was a hard working mother, homemaker and ranch wife; she was a member of the Jay Em Women's Club and active as a leader in 4-H, especially when her children were young. She made no particular claim to any church but she held a deep conviction and belief to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, gardening and cooking, especially for her family; she loved them dearly and took great pride in making sure they were always well fed. Zella is survived by her children Bonnie (Dale) Wolaver of Pinedale, WY and Keith (Diana) Soderberg of Encampment, WY; grandchildren Roy Wolaver, Debra Hammer, Jake Wolaver, Sarah Wagy, Levi Soderberg, Tyler Soderberg, Orin Soderberg and Kindle Soderberg and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Hazel Geary; husband Harry Soderberg; Sons Dale and Leonard Soderberg and Bernie Soderberg who died in infancy. Cremation has been entrusted to Covill Funeral Home and a memorial funeral service will be held in the spring in Encampment, WY.
