Hunting season

August is officially over. Bring on September with a hunting vengeance for those enthusiasts. Good Luck to you all.

The ever-popular morning chatter group this week included Connie Beckham, Laura Rettelle, Patty Herring, Karen Dibbern, Jo Bonnet, Arleigh Simmons, Ellie Behrmann, Nancy Lynch, Linda York and Dodey Brown. Our talented 2 tabled Bridge Club consisted of MaryLou Noton, Sheila Johnson, Whitey and Alice Stewart, Marianne Blue, Millie Parker, and Sharon Pratt.

The Quilting Bees finished the fall quilt and have started a very pretty blue colored one that seemed to come from nowhere. Some random blocks were found when Lila Walbye cleaned out the cabinet, so Jo Roberson took them home and added to them. It shouldn’t take Nancy Lynch, Jo Roberson, Karen Casson, Lila Walbye, Sandy Miller, Rosalie Cousins and Phyllis Smith long to finish this one. It looks to be a twin-size quilt.

The rowdy group we have for dominoes are Laura Rettelle, Bill and Madeline Telfer, Dot Severns, Dick Blake, Bob and Lois Thompson and Sharon Pratt, with Madeline, Bill and Bob taking the wins for the week. Bill and Madeline Telfer, Joe Remick, Jo Roberson keep piecing together the puzzle.

We had 14 people take advantage of the Blood Pressure Day. I would like to remind everyone we will be closed on Sept. 7 for Labor Day. We will have Saturday Breakfast at noon on Sept. 12, french toast, bacon, fruit and milk … yummy!
