Pig Digger turns five

Five years ago, Whistle Pig Saloon owner Chuck Davidson invited some friends to come over to the area behind his bar and play in the mud for what would become the first annual Pig Digger mud rally. The rally has grown over the years to include up to 30-40 cars across several different classes.

This year Davidson boasts of a “newly redesigned mud pit.”

The event will take place from noon to close on Saturday and Sunday, with activities for kids, adults and teens. The event will hold a pancake breakfast from 9-11 a.m. for donations that will go along with 10 percent of the gate to the Sportsmen Foundation for Military Families (SFMF) which sponsors and provides hunting trips to veterans and their families. More information on the organization can be found at http://www.huntforvets.com.
