Bleeding to give

Editor:

I see our local blood draw continues to be restrictive as to who may attend. Anyone that requires a cane, a walker, a wheelchair or crutches had better not come alone because they will require assistance opening the front door and holding it while they enter.

Then they are confronted with the extremely long walk to the furthest end of the building. Anyone experiencing breathing issues will also find this trek a challenge.

It seems to me that the front entry area of the building or the gym would be more convenient for those with mobility issues. The Senior Center is also an extremely accessible location.

It would be interesting to know how many residents with any of these difficulties actually take part in this event.

Was moving this to the present location a conscientious decision or did you not consider these concerns?
