Former Valley Foods employee charged with felony theft

Based on Circuit Court, Second Judicial District, Carbon County, Wyo., records, Eden Ahon Deorio has been charged with felony theft of more than $1,000 from Valley Foods grocery store in Saratoga.

The complete affidavit of Sgt. Kenneth Lehr, of the Saratoga Police Department states that, after due investigation, Deorio is accused of theft of $31,257.42, from June 2014 to December 2014, from Valley Foods.

Deorio is accused of allegedly claiming false returns on her register at the grocery store in the order of “several hundred dollars each shift she worked, keeping the money from the returns,” according to the police report.

Deorio was arrested and detained in the county jail in early December. She provided a signature bond for $20,000 on Jan. 8, 2015 and was released from custody at that time.

The preliminary court hearing in the matter of the theft is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2015 at 4 p.m.
