Norma Jean Murphy

Norma Jean Murphy born Dec. 13, 1956, of Casper and Laramie Wyoming went to be with The Lord on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, eleven years to the date after she became a grandma for the first time.

Norma was born in Saratoga, WY where she lived for 26 years. After moving around Wyoming, touching many lives along the way, she settled in Laramie. There, she raised three devoted daughters.

She worked for the University of Wyoming for 24 years finishing the last seven in Casper working for the University of Wyoming at Casper College.

She made countless friendships with her colleagues, and other people she met.

She was very thankful for her family and friends and never met a stranger she didn't feel like she could talk to. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and lived out her last year with joy and peace.

Norma is survived by her three daughters; Mariah and her husband James Osborne, grandchildren; Makiah, Kierra, Sienna and Ayden; Jackie and her husband Kellen Waldo; Megan and her husband Robbie Phillips, granddaughter Harper; Norma's parents: Bob and Jean Stevens and her five siblings; Corky Stevens, Becky Simmons, Rick Stevens, Barbara Williams and Randy Stevens.

A memorial service will be held on Sat. Dec. 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Evangelical Free Church, 4100 Casper Mountain Road, Casper.

Pastor Jack Olesen will be officiating. A celebration of her life will immediately follow the service.
