Spooky times in the Valley

For a safe and convenient way to trick-or-treat, parents, preschool and elementary-aged kids can come to downtown Saratoga on Oct. 31 from 3:30 to 5 pm. Many businesses will join in the fun by handing out treats and maybe some tricks, too.

Children in both Encampment and Saratoga elementary schools, as well as the area preschools, will be given the list of participating businesses.

Students can look forward to a sing along, costume parade, and classroom parties at Saratoga Elementary School tomorrow afternoon.

In addition, the American Legion will host a Haunted House, with various tricks and treats, beginning around 5 p.m.

The Encampment School Student Council will not be having their carnival this year, but Encampment parents will host a Trunk & Treat event after the Halloween Walk in Saratoga. Contact Ryan Pantle for information.

The Encampment Senior Center will be hosting their Second annual Haunted House for children and adults beginning at 7-9 p.m.

Halloween night, children are encouraged to trick-or-treat in their neighborhoods, too.

All ghosts and goblins should wear reflective clothing, carry a flashlight and be careful about crossing the streets.
