Word has been received of the death of Billy Bachman on Aug. 16, 2014 in Frankston, Texas. He was born Nov. 20, 1923 in Fort Collins, Colo.
Bachman was a brand inspector in the Saratoga and Encampment area in the late 60s and early 70s. After leaving the Valley in 1974, the family moved to Socorro, N.M.
He was a national cattle inspector with Oppenheimer Industry in Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, California and the Big Bend area of Texas.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Cindy of Franskton and son Tim of Valladolid, Yucatan, Mexico.
