Obituary: Larry Arthur Zampedri

Larry Arthur Zampedri, loving son of Pauline Frances Grohar and Serafino Zampedri, was born on June 24, 1948 in Rock Springs, Wyo. A dedicated husband, father and friend, Larry passed away suddenly on Dec. 19, 2013. In addition to three grandchildren and one great grandson, Mr. Zampedri is survived by his loving wife, Machele, daughter Danna (Darcy) Quinton, of Rigby, Idaho and son, Larry, of Lakewood, Colo.

A veteran of the United States Army and the Vietnam War, Larry relished the great outdoors of Wyoming and was an avid motorcycle rider, hunter, horseman and fishing enthusiast. Service was also important as a member of the American Legion, Eagles and VFW. A proud member of the Boilermakers Union, Mr. Zampedri’s working career was that of a journeyman welder, traveling throughout the United States, making life-long friends.

A memorial service will be held this coming spring to celebrate his life and allow Mr. Zampedri to make his final trip to the Upper Green, (Cora, Wyo.) where the great outdoors, his friends and family molded him into the kind, rugged and loving man known as “Lar”.
