Mark E. Lewis

Tuesday, August 10 2010

Mark E. Lewis went to his peaceful rest with our Lord on July 26, 2010, in Ft. Myers, Florida in his home with his wife, Tina, by his side.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sept. 3, 1959, to his surviving parents, John M.  &  Frances C. Lewis.  As a child he moved to Jewett City, Conn., and then as a teen to Longmont, Colo.,  and Ft. Collins.  He also lived in Sadler, Texas and Baker, Mont.

Mark worked most of his life in the constructon industry, and lastly as a maintenance supervisor for Duke Hotels, at the Riviera Lodge in Saratoga and the Sagebrush in Baker.

But his passion was playing the drums.  He started as a child in music and even marched in the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, Calif., with his high school marching band from Colorado.  He also played in bands titled Desire, The Jo Mamma Band and Garry Goze to Colledge.

On Dec. 31, 2009 he married the love of his life, his “angel” Tina Jacobik, in Ft. Myers, Fla.  They were childhood friends who re-met in 2008 after 34 years apart.

He is also survived by his brother and best friend John J. Lewis of Ft. Collins.  Mark had four children Heather, Jason, Tabbatha and Kate.

As his favorite song by Kenny Chesney says — “like the lucky ol’ sun, I’ll be rolling ‘round heaven all day”.
