Tigers play in— but fall out of regionals

EHS boys basketball, despite winning their play-in game against Meeteetse, had a rough start at the regional tournament in its first game against number-one seed Burlington.
The scoreboard at the end of the fourth quarter saw the Huskies on top 64-28.
“They are a very well disciplined team, with good speed and size, and they simply overwhelmed us. They really steamrolled us in the first half,” Head Coach Dan Kraft said.
The Tigers were then matched up against fellow Carbon County team Hanna-Elk Mountain-Medicine Bow (H.E.M.).
“They (H.E.M.) have been a bad match-up for us all season,” Kraft said.
Indeed, the Miners doubled on Encampment, winning the game 64-32.
“I was proud of the kids this year. We will miss our seniors, but I think we have a good building block in our underclassmen,” Kraft added.
