Staff Report

The Encampment Lady Tigers dropped two games in the 1A West regional tournament, held in Lander, after winning a play-in game against St. Stephens.

First up for the EHS girls was number-one ranked and fellow Carbon County opponent Little Snake River, who beat Encampment 44-28.

After this game, the Lady Tigers were then matched against Farson-Eden in the consolation bracket.

The Lady Pronghorns defeated Encampment 40-32.

Despite some early-season struggles, Head Coach Amy Clay said she was proud of the team for bouncing back.

“It was a great team effort and very encouraging to see the girls give it their all until the bitter end,” Clay wrote in an e-mail.

“They finished the season winning five of their last eight games,” Clay added.
