Saratoga Resort & Spa (Resort & Spa) is hosting the First annual Snowmobile Poker Run (Poker Run) this Saturday.

Proceeds from the Poker Run will benefit the Ryan Park and Centennial Search and Rescue Volunteers.

The Resort & Spa is getting plenty of help from the community with Valley Oil, Pine Lodge, and The Hood House  Bed & Breakfast sponsoring one stop during the Poker Run and I-80 Power Sports will be sponsoring another stop while demonstrating jumps at the Lake Marie rest area. Rendezvous Lodge, I-80 Powersports Tent, Albany Lodge, Saratoga Resort & Spa are also sponsoring stops.

Not a snowmobiler? You can still buy a punch card and have someone who is participating in the Poker Run get your card punched.

The winner of the Poker Run will be announced at 4 p.m. at Resort & Spa.

Participants can enjoy a complimentary food and drinks from 5 to 8 p.m. and enjoy dancing to Daddy Rab, Keith Byer’s band from Colorado. Byer has previously hosted Karaoke at the Resort & Spa.

Susan Wallace, General Manager of the Resort and Spa told the Sun on Thursday that 72 punch cards have already been sold for the event.

Other community businesses have donated door prizes to the Poker Run including Maverick Motorsports, Pine Lodge, Center for Spinal Disorders, Valley Oil, Lazy River Cantina, The Rawlins National Bank,  Jerry Palen, Rendezvous Lodge, SCOTT, Mangy Moose,  Valley Foods & Liquor, Kum & Go, Snow Bunje, Tommy’s BBQ, Saratoga Do It Best, Red Sage Spa, Stumpy’s Eatery, Saratoga Napa Auto Parts, Wyold Aspen Studio, Del Rio Cafe, Saratoga Feed & Grain, Saratoga Sun, Platte Valley Ranch Supply, Outhouse Giftshop, Hat Creek Saddlery & Trading, Wild Iris.

The Resort & Spa intends to sponsor other Poker Runs this year, including a motorcycle and antique car poker run said Wallace.
