  • It's peas when I hurt

    Keith McLendon|Dec 31, 2014

This is an example of when the headline came first. The article came only after the headline refused to leave my thinker thing. I wasn’t thinking about peas. I wasn’t thinking about the phrase you probably thought of when you read the title. I was a little down about my recently-wrecked cute little green car, but I wasn’t thinking about what kind of foods might make me feel better. It just showed up in my frontal lobe’s inbox. It might have been beamed there by little extra-quirky ,inter-dimensi... Full story

  • The Editor knows, weather stops work on Snowy Range road, friends honor Shivelys, and family nearly asphyxiated

    Dec 31, 2014

1 Years Ago Dec. 31, 1914 Nobody knows just how many poor simps are running loose in this world but the editor. No one knows how many people are running loose with the main spring broke, but the editor. Nobody knows how many men are running around with just gray matter enough in their heads to keep them out of asylums and pens. If there is any one thing that an editor does know, it is the character of the majority of the humans with which he comes in contact with every day. It would surprise the public to know, just how many, ignorant narrow...

  • Give the senior center a try

    Sue Howe|Dec 31, 2014

There were four here for Bridge this week. We will be open on New Year’s Day as usual. We will be serving grilled ham and cheese sandwich and tomato soup. The rest of the meal is still up in the air, but it will be good. We would like to thank Jane Johnston for the beautiful flowers she sent for all the tables. We did have a drawing to see who would get to take a boot home and enjoy them because we are going to be gone for five days now and I was afraid they would be dead when we returned. So there were eight people who took them home with the...

Thanks to Brad Hebig and Phil Fleming for putting the Christmas lights on our rather large tree in front of the center. It lit up the town. Thanks also to Joh...
