The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team came up just short on the road against conference-leading New Mexico Sunday. Wyoming’s four match winning streak was snapped as its comeback fell shy, losing 4-3.

The Cowgirls (15-9, 6-3 MW) got out to an early lead thanks to a marathon win in doubles. Wyoming got a 6-2 win at No. 1 from the duo of Violetta Borodina and Sophie Zehender. The tandem extends their program record for single-season doubles victories with 27 this season with the win.
