Mixed results for Encampment basketball

Tigers, Lady Tigers see wins and losses before heading into the holiday break

The Encampment Tigers and Lady Tigers went into the Christmas Break with two games and a non-conference tournament with mixed results for both teams.

 

Encampment vs.

North Park

On December 12, Tiger Nation hosted the North Park Wildcats which resulted in a non-conference win for both teams. The Tigers took down the Walden, Colorado team with a score of 51-39. The Lady Tigers, meanwhile, ended the game with a score of 54-48.

 

Lingle-Ft. Laramie

Dogger Classic

Then, on December 15 and 16, Encampment hit the road for Lingle to compete in the Lingle-Ft. Laramie Dogger Classic. While there, the Tigers went 2-2 as they were swept up by the Southeast Cyclones on Friday with a score of 61-54 in favor of Southeast. The boys later exorcized the Hulett Red Devils with a score of 56-49, Encampment. Then, on Saturday, the boys dealt a 58-31 loss to the Kaycee Buckaroos before falling to the Lingle-Ft. Laramie Doggers with a score of 50-64 in favor of the Doggers.

The Lady Tigers didn’t fare as well, going 1-3 for the weekend. On Friday, they fell to the Southeast Lady Cyclones with a score of 43-21 in favor of Southeast and were dispatched by the Hulett Lady Red Devils with a score of 44-27 in favor of Hulett. Their only win was against the Kaycee Lady Bucks with a score of 56-21 on Saturday, but then fell to the Lingle-Ft. Laramie Lady Doggers with a score of 67-30.

 

Encampment vs.

Rock River

On December 19, Encampment hit the road again as they headed to Rock River where they were hosted by the Longhorns and Lady Longhorns. The Tigers dealt a hard loss to Rock River with a score of 75-20. The Lady Tigers, meanwhile, just barely lost to Rock River with a final score of 67-63 in favor of the Lady Longhorns.

When Encampment returns from Christmas Break, they head right into conference play as they host the Cokeville Panthers on January 12 and the Farson-Eden Pronghorns on January 13. They will also host the Saratoga Panthers on January 16.
