HEM gets all players involved in big win

Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School boys basketball team faced off against Rock River and came away with a convincing win. HEM Miners beat the Rock River Longhorns 60-37.

Cliff Jones, head basketball coach was pleased with how the game went.

“It was a good game over all and we were able to play all of our kids with substantial minutes,” Jones said.

Conor McGraw led the Miners with 21 points and had six steals. Shane McGraw scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds. Brendon Reeves had 14 points and six assists.

“We showed pretty good improvement in the way that we matched up with them compared to our earlier game against them in December,” Jones said.

Jones said his team will have a busy couple days coming up towards the end of the week.

“This week we go to Cheyenne to play East’s Sophomores on Thursday and then we host Encampment on Friday.”
