Betty May Dahlke

Betty May Dahlke passed away November 15, 2016 surrounded by family at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wyoming. A former resident of Saratoga, Betty ran and operated the Corral Drive-In for several years.

Betty was born in Antigo, Wis. to Arthur and Marie Moore on May 2, 1926. She married Ernest Dahlke on July 20, 1944 in Wisconsin. Ernie served in the US Navy during World War II and after the war was over, Betty and Ernie moved to Wyoming. Betty was a proud stay at home mom.

Betty enjoyed crafts very much and you could always find her designing something new. The project that was closest to her heart was the beautiful altar cloth she made using the hardinger stitching for the Platte Valley Lutheran Church in Saratoga, Wyo. She was an avid history buff and wrote several "Reflections of the Past" for the Saratoga Sun Newspaper. She also enjoyed reading, camping, four wheeling, arranging flowers, beading jewelry, playing cards, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by five children: daughter Marie Allen (Gary) of Saratoga, Wyo; son Paul Dahlke (Paula) of Casper, Wyo; daughter Debra Dahlke of Rawlins, Wyo; son Bob Dahlke (Jody) of Upton,Wyo; son Bill Dahlke (Margaret) of Greybull, Wyo; two sisters: Colleen Scrimpft (Orlie) of Mesa, Ariz. and Muriel Gill of Sheboygan, Wis. Betty has numerous grand children, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Ernest Dahlke; a daughter, Patricia Dahlke; her parents, Arthur and Marie Moore; an infant sister Collette; and brothers Bill Moore and Bob Moore.
