The facility’s Activity program is based on residents’ interest and allows residents to achieve a greater level of self-esteem. It provides for continuing contact with the community because of the many volunteers that assist residents in activities.

Games provided fun and laughter throughout the week. On Sunday afternoon five residents played Dominoes with Pat Rust winning. On Monday afternoon five residents played Yahtzee with Truth Karstoft winning. On Tuesday morning four residents played Uno with Pat Rust winning.

On Wednesday and Friday afternoons residents played Bingo. Elaine Burge, Kenny Hoagland, Carol Higby and Marjery McAulay won Four Corners. Kenny Hoagland and Jeanne Carpenter won Blackouts. Volunteers at Bingo were Lila Worden, Gloria Rakness, Dawna Erickson, Elder Maake and Elder Coleman.

On Thursday morning four residents played Dominoes again with Pat Rust winning. On Saturday afternoon residents played Blackjack.

For exercise, residents did Wii Bowling on Sunday and Saturday mornings and Sittercise on Monday and Friday mornings.

For Lunch Out at the Saratoga Senior Center three residents had meatballs over noodles on Monday and three residents had tuna casserole on Friday.

Residents enjoyed the Turner Classic Movies channel in the evening.

On Sunday afternoon Pastor Niccolls led church and offered Communion to residents.

Doris Davis played traditional religious music on the keyboard.

On Tuesday afternoon residents had popcorn and helped Kathy McMorrow, the Activity Assistant, take Christmas decorations down.

On Wednesday morning five residents had their hair done, and eight residents had their fingernails done by Georgia Schroer, Merlynn Hoopes, Kathy McMorrow and Janice Kerpan.

On Thursday afternoon five resident went shopping.

Residents helped Kathy McMorrow take down some more Christmas decorations.

We need small stuffed animals and other prizes for Bingo. We want to thank Gloria Rakness for the prizes for Bingo.
