Community choir plans annual Christmas concert

The Saratoga Community Choir is presenting its annual Christmas concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Platte Valley Community Center Theater.

The choir will debut a new piece incorporating the traditional “The First Noel” into a rendition of Pachelbel’s “Canon in D”, choir director Valerie Larscheid said.

The ever popular “O, Holy Night” and other holiday favorites will be performed by the choir.

The presentation includes a variety of ensembles including Robby Fullom on trombone and Lori Van Pelt on flute, a ladies’ trio and a solo by Gene Smith. Larscheid said other ensembles are planned for the concert too.

The program is open and free to public, although they do take donations. The choir will host a reception after the concert.
