Jane Fluty to retire

There were four here for Bingo Tuesday. Two-dollar winners were Betty Dean, Madaline Forbes and Sue Howe shared a $2 round. Winnie Allen won the $2 blackout round.

There were eight here for Bridge Monday. There was a tie for high winners between Mary Sjoden and Sheila Johnson and Bob Johnson and Sue Howe.

We had our birthday dinner Friday. We had a pretty good turnout. Those having birthdays this month are, John Larsen, Fred Williams, Brian Manley, Dora Martin, Claudia Bartlett, Margaret Karstoft, Ginny Riddick, Sandy Willford, Joan Kunish and Bob Surber. John Larsen won the birthday tree. Teense was here to entertain. We missed him last month. We all enjoyed him coming.

Sue Bartlett brought Claudia Bartlett and Sharalee Busey up with her for lunch this week. We always have a great time talking with ones that don’t come very often. Hopefully they will join us again soon.

As most everyone knows this will be Jane Fluty’s last full week. She has decided to retire the end of March. We will all miss her very much. But she said when they get back from vacation she will be happy to be our substitute bus driver when we need someone, if she is in town. She has been a big part of this center for the past 13 years. Like me she has seen a lot of changes.
