Birthday dinner Friday

There is a lot going on this week. Drivers Safety classes start Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There is a $12 fee.

Entertainment for the evening dinner at 6 p.m. Friday is Teense Willford. We will also have a special guest, ,Carbon County Senior Services’ new director Lisa Engstrom.

For dinner we are having chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with country gravy, mixed vegetables, wheat rolls, cherries and let’s not forget the birthday/anniversary cake provided by Encampment students who bake us some wonderful cakes.

We have a new heating and air condition system, so it will be cool in the summer and warm in winter.

Coffee drinkers were none other than Laura R., Jo B., Connie B., Patty H., Arley S., LaDawn, Dodey B. and Ellie B. It seems like I learn something new from them every day. Thanks ladies.

Quilters almost have the beautiful “Trip Around the World” quilt finished thanks to Nancy L, Betty Merrill, newcomer Dodey B., Lila W., Kay Fleming, Josephine Roberson., Sandy Miller., Charlette K., Elie G. and Vonda W.

Then there are our daily Domino Players: Betty Merrill won two times last week, Bill Tilfer once, Bob Thompson once, and Joe Remick once. Bridge players got their game in on Wednesday, and the new puzzle is a beautiful 500-piece Ravensburger Puzzle.

Please be sure to reserve your seat at Friday night’s dinner by Thursday.

It’s going to be a great time and we will be giving special thanks to our wonderful mothers, seeing as this is Mother’s Day Month. Hope everyone has a super great week, bye for now.
