Having fun with Spanish

Spanish class-enrolled students from Saratoga, Encampment and HEM High School united for a “Spanish Face-Off” get-together Thursday at the Saratoga High School Library.

The face-off featured a quiz game requiring the students to answer Spanish-written questions on a projector screen while in teams. The game was intended to test the students’ knowledge of Spanish-speaking countries and the Spanish language. One of the questions, for example, was “Cual es la poblacion de Mexico?” (What is the population of Mexico?). The students had to know what was asked and answer in English.

Students also played a get-to-know-you game where they had to stand up if a question was asked regarding when they had done something or not. For lunch, they enjoyed a Mexican dish of tamales and chips with salsa, followed by ice cream and toppings for dessert.
