Panthers get two wins

SHS track team grabs first place wins at Wind River

Saratoga High School’s track team featured two first-place victories at the Wind River Invitational March 28.

The event took place at Pavillion’s Wind River High School, where Ben Gates proved to be the highest individual scorer for team, placing first in the 800-meter run. Gates’ quick running time of two minutes and 3.92 seconds qualified him for the Wyoming State Track and Field Championships.

For the school’s highest team placement at the meet, Rodrigo Escobedo, Ben Falk, Luke Linberry and Gates placed first in the 1600-meter relay. Their time of 3:42.06 also qualified them for the state track and field championships. The complete list of placements is as follows:
